Trifid Nebula Astrophoto 3x2

This beautiful and quite popular astro target is an unusual combination of an open cluster of stars, an emission nebula (the pink section), a reflection nebula (the blue section), and a dark nebula (the 'gaps' in the pink). Its located just next to the Lagoon Nebula in the Saggitarius arm of our own Milky Way galaxy and is therefore relatively close to earth
